Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson as well as Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs to help supplement her income. Lennox as she was studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance in comparison to her peers. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. She left the band before the band went on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. It was here that she got to know Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It came out in 1993. It was a huge success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself was released in October of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favourite soul, jazz and blues songs of her youth. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection comprising four tracks that were composed by Lennox. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... The album is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25th 1954. After minor successes as a part of the band called The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the duo known as Eurythmics in the 1980s. The year 1992 was the year Lennox launched a solo career with the release of her first album Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio has version covers of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has recorded six solo studio albums and one compilation album to her credit. |
